時間過得很快，一轉眼就在「劉德容」渡過一個月了。這個月有太多事情發生，包括「山竹」襲擊香港，導致全港學校在颱風遠離後仍需停課兩天，可算是史無前例，甚至現在市面仍未能全面恢復正常。幸好，學校只有一些樹木被強風吹倒，其中一棵樹更倒在校車旁，還有各樓層展板被吹得四處亂跑。謝謝工友們的通力合作，把地方清理乾淨，令學校盡快回復正常。 | |||
Whoosh! Time flies! A month has passed. Lots of sudden incidents happened last month, such as the severe typhoon ‘Mangkhut’ which attacked Hong Kong, and schools were suspended for two days after. This has never happened before. During the typhoon, some facilities and trees were destroyed and they have not yet been fixed. Fortunately, some trees collapsed and one of the trees fell down next to the school bus. Also, the display boards on each level were blown everywhere. We really have to show our gratitude to all the janitors for helping us to get everything back to normal and for giving us a safe environment to keep on with our studying and learning. | |||
今年一如以往舉行科技嘉年華暨開放日，為加強與區內幼稚園的聯繫，今年於開放日舉行了「STEM UP在龍岡」親子填色比賽頒獎禮及「資訊站啟動禮暨ST “E”M親子比賽」，兩個比賽圓滿結束，參觀人數更打破了歷年來的記錄。衷心多謝主任們及老師們鼎力協助，令是次的活動如此成功。 | |||
| As usual, ‘Scientific Carnival cum Open Day’ was held. This year, it was a bit different. On the first afternoon, ‘Prize Presentation of Colouring Competition’ was merged into our sharing session of our student presentation about their experiences during STEM activities. On the second afternoon, ‘Launching Ceremony of i-LTY info-station cum Parent-child ST“E”M competition was held . The number of participants broke the record. I really want to take this opportunity to thank our teachers who worked so hard to prepare these two days. It really worked. Well Done!

提升學生的英文能力是所有家長都趨之若鶩。我們在這一年，將戲劇教育加入我們的英文課程內。校長將為全校老師舉行「戲劇教育」工作坊，讓老師掌握有關的技巧，並在共同備課的時段，與老師在已選取的故事書中，設計相關的戲劇教育元素，以提升學生學習英文的興趣。完成整個課程後，我們會收集相關的數據及作出分析，於本年五月與戲劇節的表演及集誦，以成果展形式一併向外界發放，藉此向外界展示我們在英語教學上之改革，為學校取得名聲。 | |||
Enhancing students’ interest of learning English is one of the parents’ wishes. In this year, Drama-In-Education is going to be incorporated into our curriculum. A drama workshop will be conducted by the principal to all the teachers to let teachers know what Drama-In-Education is. Then drama conventions will be integrated into the selected story books in the co-planning meetings among teachers. Drama-In-Education can help students enhance their interests in both reading and learning English. Evaluation will be collected and analyzed, then the school will share this curriculum with the evaluation to the public in May, 2018 accompanied with the performance of Drama Festival and Choral Speaking. It will show all of you that we really want to establish our reputation in English teaching. | |||
相信大家很期待我們外遊地點的結果，新加坡以數票之差險勝澳洲，學校將啟動招標程序，安排本年度的國外交流活動，希望四至六年級的同學踴躍參加。 | |||
| I believe that lots of parents and students have a huge expectation to know the result of the overseas excursion. Singapore got the highest score which got just a few more votes than Australia. The school is going to start the quotation and the relevant arrangements. We wish all the P.4 to P.6 students can join this overseas excursion to learn more English and broaden their horizons. | |||
